Week Thirteen: You Are Favored #dearyousummerstudy2019

-Read Chapter Twelve: You Are Favored
-Look up the Scripture references
-Complete the questions at the end of the chapter

My friend and I have this thing where we call each other and share “favor moments”—ways that God showed up in little and big ways that day. It’s a way we celebrate being His daughters, of noticing His loving involvement in our lives, and chasing down every blessing He gives. It may be finding something we thought was lost forever, or a close parking spot at the store, or a kind word from someone right when we needed it. The “favor moments” are endless and diverse, no two the same.

He shows His love in a million unique ways every day.

Don’t let shame keep you locked inside, because as His daughter, you have the humility and freedom to open wide your hands to receive every good thing from your loving Father above. Don’t let the weight of the world suppress you from holding the rich weight of His glory. Don’t see the world through the lens of evil reigning, but for the glorious creation it is…filled with colors and textures and tastes and smells.

God doesn’t want you to just survive this world, but to thrive…to see it all through His eyes of delight and love.

Find the abundance in the ordinary, but more than that— expect it. Expect God to show up. You have been given every spiritual blessing in Him, and you are not left behind. You are the girl His heart is chasing after. Even in the trenches, you can dig to find the gold.

Receive the blessing. Be the blessing.

Have the vision to be God’s blessing—His favor—to others around you. May you have the response of Mary, the mother of Yeshua whenever God shows up. May you praise and pray and respond with Scripture overflowing from your heart. May you store every moment in your soul, never letting the pain and pressure and heartache of this world snuff out the joy of God’s delight in you.

Trail every good thing back to the heart of God.

Week Twelve: You Are Holy #dearyousummerstudy2019

-Read Chapter Eleven: You Are Holy
-Look up the Scripture references
-Complete the questions at the end of the chapter

There is glory in holiness—never shame. The enemy would have you believe that holiness is oppressive and restricting, something to hide away in the prayer closet but never to shine in the world. The enemy would have you betray your conscious, go against your convictions, and live in sin because you are too ashamed to stand up for what is right and just.

Holiness is part of your redemption, and it is always motivated by love.

You are never too far gone to outrun God’s love The muck and mire of life may humble you, but it also should inspire you to move out in holiness. To be holy is to be cleansed, with a grace so strong that it shatters shame.

Be careful what thoughts you listen to—the shameful lies or the grace-filled truth—because one will hold you in bondage, while the other will set you free.

The truth of grace empowers you to live in powerful holiness. It transforms your character, which therefore transforms your actions. You have been given the Holy Spirit not only to guide you and teach you…but also as a literal spirit of holiness residing within you every moment of every day.

You can always rise above to the highway of holiness, no matter what bumps along the way.

Sear His Holiness into your view. Let it convict, let it burn, let it purify, let it be intense. Let it transform every area of your mind, your heart, your soul, your words, your actions, your life. Let it be a reminder that you are not common, and your citizenship belongs in Heaven.

Walk illuminated by the glory of His presence, shining in His holiness.

Week Eleven: You Are Beloved #dearyousummerstudy2019

-Read Chapter Ten: You Are Beloved
-Look up the Scripture references
-Complete the questions at the end of the chapter

The only one who can satisfy the longing of your heart is the One Who created it. He’s the One Who knows every detail—and every desire. Your soul-filled longing to be loved is a holy emotion. God created you that way…you just have to keep your desires in perspective.

Don’t expect anyone outside the Source of Love—Yeshua—to completely satisfy your longings for love.

Marriage is not the answer. It’s a holy calling, yes, but love doesn’t arrive at the altar. There is love for you here, today, and you have a love story that is meaningful and impactful for the Kingdom. You are being pursued in the ultimate pursuit, the one where Heaven came to earth and Yeshua bought you with His blood.

He gave all of Himself because He wants to give you all He has. That’s the extravagance of His love.

Friend, what is your response to that kind of love? How do you celebrate it in your everyday, when you’re going to the grocery store or cooking dinner in the evening? How do you live in the present, in the knowledge of being perfectly loved, instead of waiting to be loved by Mr. Right?

Yeshua’s love is an anchor, sure and secure. He is committed to you. Everything He does is motivated out of His love for you.

May you be motivated by that love, too. Abide on the vine (John 15), rooted and resting, focusing on the good of this season. Live lavishly loved by the King of Heaven, instead of depressed by disappointment on a human level.

Celebrate the beautiful reality of being beloved, and let that love be seen through you in everything you do.

Week Ten: You Are Healed #dearyousummerstudy2019

-Read Chapter Nine: You Are Healed
-Look up the Scripture references
-Complete the questions at the end of the chapter

In order to heal, you can’t keep irritating the wound.

You have to trust the One Who heals, and the way He heals. You have to take your own hands off in order to let Him place His Healing Hands on you. You have to know that your past doesn’t define you…and pain refines you.

You’re being refined like gold, solid and valuable and with a shine that sparkles like a million stars.

Instead of fighting against the circumstances, becoming weak in the struggle, you must let the healing process forge Adonai’s strength within you.

Even in the hard things, there are still good things. Don’t doubt Adonai’s goodness, and trust His heart. Let trust triumph over doubt, never forgetting what Yeshua has done for you—how He bore your bruises in order to make you whole. Through it all, He is giving you a story of strength and victory.

As He heals your heart, let Him be the Lover of your soul and the Scribe of your story.

Whatever resentment has been hindering your healing, identify it, repent of it, and let the truth set you free. Shift your focus from the injustice of it all to the God Who is just and righteous in all things. There is purpose through the pain, and the process is sifting you to discover what your joy is anchored to.

Persevere. Brand Romans 5:3-5 on your soul, and let the scars be marks of faithfulness and victory.

Week Nine: You Are Royalty #dearyousummerstudy2019

-Read Chapter Eight: You Are Royalty
-Look up the Scripture references
-Complete the questions at the end of the chapter

Hey girl—in a world that chips away at your heart until they make it cheap, you must know your worth and hold your crowned head high. You must know the truth that defines you, and wave it as a banner over your soul.

You are the daughter of the King of the Universe—you are a beloved princess in the courts of Heaven.

The world will mock and taunt you with their words, words that wound, but don’t forget that God’s words will heal your soul and make you whole. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not enough, that God’s vision for your life isn’t enough, that your soul isn’t enough.

Just like the tabloids try to exploit the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, the world will do its best to exploit you too and take the crown that was given to you. They’ll load your shoulders down with baggage that weighs heavy and holds you back from living in the glorious destiny God has for you.

Hold what matters, what God has given you, and nothing more. You do not carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.

You’re no longer a slave, you’re an heir to the Kingdom. Securely, forever, it’s your identity and no one can take that from you. Your identity gives you a home, a place to belong—forever in His courts.

Know Who has authority in your life, and don’t give that authority to anyone or anything else. Know your worth, know the reality of abundant life. Tear off the labels the world has stuck to your soul, and run into the royal reality God has for you.

Don’t let anyone take your crown.
